Campfire is a global network of industry-focused shared spaces, leading the evolution of how people work, live, learn and play. For their latest co-living project, Campfire Home in Hong Kong with 80 rooms, they sought a partner to provide residents with the best sleep experience. Naturally, they partnered with Hush Home. Hush Home is not only a digital company offering better sleep to consumers but also a collaborative bed and bath partner for many hospitality clients. It was a perfect match as both believe a good night’s rest is crucial for a great day. Recently, we brought together Campfire Home’s General Manager Elaine Poon and Hush Home’s cofounder and Head of Sales, Stephanie Huen, to learn more about their collaboration. So, tell me more about the co-living project. What inspired the collaboration between your two companies? Elaine: Campfire is evolving the way people work, live, learn and play.
Our new co-living project, Campfire Home, aims to provide more than just a place to live. We strive to create an environment that fosters ‘working’, ‘learning’, and ‘playing’, alongside ‘living’. Understanding the importance of rest, we sought to optimize sleep quality, as it directly impacts one’s energy and performance the following day. To achieve this, we partnered with sleep and wellness experts at Hush Home.
Stephanie from Hush Home shares her excitement about the collaboration: ‘It was so exciting to discover the similarity in our visions when we first met. Both companies share a vision of promoting wellness for the whole person, not just sleep. We believe that improved, healthier sleep opens up the possibilities for what one can achieve the next day. It was a perfect match!’
Elaine adds, ‘And no need for a dating website!’
The collaboration between Hush Home and Campfire Home is indeed exciting. Elaine explains how Hush Home’s involvement extended beyond just sleep: ‘Actually, it wasn’t limited to just sleep.’
Hush Home has been selected to design a better sleep space for Campfire Home’s newest co-living space. We aimed to create a perfect bed and bath experience that feels like home.
Stephanie, from Hush Home, emphasized the importance of product design in achieving this perfect experience. She said, ‘Once we got to the drawing board, we were able to propose and recommend to Campfire Home the perfect collection of bed and bath products.’
The collection starts with Hush Home’s top-rated Hush Mattress, complemented by other products such as the Miracle Pillow, Luxury Hotel Sheets, All-Season Duvet, and an amazing towel set. Each product is designed to work in harmony with the others, creating the perfect bed and bath set.
Elaine from Campfire Home mentioned that they cater to residents with drive, ambition, and an open mind. Their residents include young expats, local university students, young professionals, and frequent business travelers.
Stephanie expressed her satisfaction in being able to offer better sleep to all these residents.
Elaine described the experience they want to offer to customers, saying, ‘The great thing about Campfire Home is that all residents can step from the bustle of the city into their personal sanctuary with ease. We create a true home-from-home, just without the financial or long-term commitment.’
Hush Home has been chosen to design a better sleep space for Campfire Home’s newest co-living space. Stephanie, a key designer, emphasized the importance of creating a comfortable and welcoming bedroom. She said, ‘We wanted to make sure we created a really comfy, hospitable space.’
Elaine, another team member, highlighted the significance of the mattress as the only essential furniture item in a home. She explained, ‘You choose all your other furniture items based on your lifestyle and personal preferences, but no home is complete without a mattress.’ Elaine continued, ‘That’s because home is where you return to after a busy, hectic day. So we really wanted to make the mattress the center of everything.’
The design philosophy at Campfire Home is to provide an immediate sense of coziness upon entering the room. Elaine described the rooms as ‘one giant sleep space,’ ensuring that the first thing you notice is the focus on sleep comfort.
When asked if journalists would be considered as residents, Elaine responded positively, ‘Why not? We want our guests to learn from and share with as many different people as possible!’
She also mentioned the convenience of the co-living space for frequent travelers, stating, ‘A lot of our residents use our co-living space as a base when they travel.’
Stephanie: Oh! You’ll love the mattress and bedding. It will make you feel like you’re staying at a five-star hotel. Sleep is something everyone does every night. We don’t often think much about it. Why did you decide to focus on better sleep in Campfire Home?
Elaine: At first, we just wanted to create a great experience for our residents. But the collaboration with Hush Home expanded as we learned the importance of sleep for overall health and wellness. Once we understood that, we realized this was one of the most important things for our guests. Stephanie: Plus, in a busy city like Hong Kong, many people spend time out and use their home just to sleep. You spend ⅓ of your life sleeping. It’s hard to think of anything more important! Haha, I love sleeping. I’m probably guilty of spending even more time in my bed. Stephanie: Our philosophy is, even if you have limited time, you should get the most out of your sleep.Hush Home has been chosen to design a better sleep space for Campfire Home’s newest co-living space. Plus, it doesn’t hurt if the mattress is so comfortable you want to linger in it longer…
Elaine: ‘If you think of what defines a home, it’s where you relax and sleep. While the rest of the day is hectic, we want the home to be a place where you can rest, recharge, and revitalize. Many of our members have incredibly busy days. For us, it is obvious that to help them get the most from their day, we needed to provide the perfect sleeping environment and experience.’
Stephanie: ‘That’s what’s so exciting and perfect about our collaboration – we want to be advocates of good sleep, wellness, and healthy living.’
‘Wow, sounds great. Tell me what else is so special about this collaboration?’ Elaine: ‘Hush Home is the perfect partner in so many ways. It is an incredibly consumer-friendly brand that has strong experience in similar B2B hospitality projects. For us, it was a lot of fun to work with a brand that not only knew how to complete a large project like ours but also really “engage” and be accessible to our members.’
Plus, our guests are now very well-rested! Stephanie says: We loved working on this project. Our passion is offering Hong Kongers a better night’s rest. The concept of Campfire Home is truly special. We believe in co-living as a concept in Hong Kong. It makes sense to encourage this inter-connectivity in an expensive and fast-paced city.
Great work! So, what makes this co-living experience different? Elaine replies: Aside from our collaboration with Hush Home? That sets us apart. We provide a high-end experience, from furniture, fittings, bedding to technology and surroundings. Stephanie adds: Being part of the global Campfire community is a real selling point. Elaine agrees: Absolutely right. The community spans 4 countries and 20 locations. It offers members the platform and resources to expand their network locally and internationally.Hush Home has been chosen to design a better sleep space for Campfire Home’s newest co-living space. What sets Hush Home products apart, according to Stephanie, is their focus on better-designed sleep products at comfortable prices. Their mission is to improve lives by promoting healthier sleep.
Stephanie recalls a memorable sleep experience in a Maldives hotel, which was the inspiration for Hush Home’s production journey. The goal was to recreate that luxurious sleep experience in a more affordable way, so that everyone can enjoy it every night.
Elaine highlights the comprehensive nature of Hush Home’s sleep system, which includes not just the mattress but also pillows, sheets, duvet, and towels. These elements work together to enhance the overall sleep experience.
Stephanie emphasizes the importance of towels in the sleep system, adding a touch of humor to the conversation.

While I have the experts here, do you have any sleep tips for anyone who is overworked? Elaine suggests making yourself comfortable in one of our new rooms. Haha, just kidding.
Stephanie believes it’s important to clear your mind before you go to bed. She says, ‘While some advocate meditation, it doesn’t need to be that structured, just be mindful what you’re doing at that moment as you prepare for bed, not what you need to do tomorrow.’ One of her favorite ways to do that is to take a warm bath and do some light stretching. Sometimes she also listens to NPR at night or reads good fiction as a way to ease her way into sleep.
Elaine shares her preference for nonfiction and is a great believer in keeping her room cool. She uses bedding to add or remove layers as her temperature fluctuates and emphasizes the importance of keeping a bedtime routine, although she admits to lying in on weekends.
Stephanie finds the motion isolation in the Hush Mattress ideal, especially since her partner is a bit of a fidget in bed.
It allows me to stay in blissful sleep throughout the entire night. Speaking of sleep makes me a bit tired at the moment. Can I jump into one of your beds and take a nap? Elaine: Go ahead!
